Kamyar Shadan, Chairman and Co-founder

Kamyar Shadan is Chairman and Co-founder. He invented the concept and methodology of creating a genome for digits and co-developed the technology with Paul Bertucci. He has both granted and pending patents for his invention of the concept, which is the first of its kind re: creating a Genome for a digital object. Kam was fortunate to have the encouragement and validation of the late Lew Platt, former Hewlett Packard CEO, as an advisor and mentor at the idea’s inception.

Prior to the founding of Diginome, he was Chief Operating Officer of Coherity, a Silicon Valley based database software company, which was later sold to its competitor IPEDO. Post “dot-com bubble”, Kam led for Coherity the acquisition of a $4M round from Softbank, Accenture Technology Ventures and Evercore. During this period he also was the key advisor at IQLabs for a $12M oversubscribed round of financing by Draper Richards and Draper Fisher Jurvetson.

He has served as President & COO of Internet Technology Group, a technology business accelerator, in the Silicon Valley. He has worked at Morgan Stanley, where he co-led development of a specialized investment management group.

Mr. Shadan holds degrees in Bio-engineering, Industrial Organizational Psychology, with special studies in peak performance and holistic health. He has completed Law school programs in contracts, tort, criminal, Real Estate, Venture Capital Institute along with Executive programs at HAAS School of business.

Harry Van Wickle, President and CEO

Harry Van Wickle is President/CEO. He is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in transformational business situations including start-up, turn-around and M&A. Most recently he was the Chairman of Vitria Technology, a Business Process Management (BPM) software company and, for a 10-year period, a director at Komag Incorporated, a disk media innovator and manufacturer, including audit committee and audit committee chairman assignments.

Harry has been the CEO of two successful start-ups and spent nearly 20 years in five Asian countries in senior management positions. He has also held executive leadership positions at Texas Instruments, Schlumberger, AT&T, Honeywell and Cypress Semiconductor. He also was a corporate director at HMT Technology Inc., a public disk media company. He holds a BS Degree from Hobart College and served as an Electronics Officer in the United States Air Force.

Paul Bertucci, Chief Technology Officer

Paul Bertucci joined Diginome as a co-founder and has been pioneering development of the Diginome™ technology since inception. Mr. Bertucci and Mr. Shadan have collaborated in several prior ventures including one that involved XML databases products and large-scale high performance database consulting deployments. Mr. Bertucci is one of the world’s leading database architects and recognized globally for his data modeling, data analysis, database design, and performance and tuning abilities.

He holds a degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley. Mr. Bertucci has been engaged as Chief Data Architect for Autodesk and has held a Chief Data Architect role at Symantec Corporation. He has created and architected numerous complex software products in the database, performance and tuning, strategic planning and data integration server technology areas.

Steve Rubin, Senior VP Business Development

Steve Rubin is Senior Vice President of Business Development and responsible for Diginome’s ecosystem.  He is an experienced business leader with extensive background in business development, sales and marketing in the technology and financial sectors, and has held executive/sr. executive roles at Quantros (acq. by Francisco Partners), Procera Networks, Silicon Valley Bank and Wells Fargo Van Kasper.

Mr. Rubin currently serves as advisor to Glassbeam, Amodit, Opvizor, InMage Systems (acq. by Microsoft) and the Science and Technology Corporation at NASA Ames Research Center, and is on the board of directors for TV Interactive Data Corp.  He is an executive in residence at Plug & Play Tech Center, a global technology accelerator headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, and has a long history of community involvement in the arts in Silicon Valley. Mr. Rubin has a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from San Jose State University.

Al MacLeod, Vice President Sales

Al MacLeod is Vice President, Sales at Diginome. During the past couple of decades, Mr. MacLeod has lead software start-ups in go-to-market solutions for risk and compliance. He has directed startups and small software companies to successfully sell solutions to Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of the West, HSBC, and Union Bank. In addition Mr. MacLeod has managed sales teams at Rapt, SAS, Verisign, MicroStrategy, Sterling Commerce, and Oracle; and was a sales executive at Computer Associates and Cullinet Software (acquired by CA). Prior to moving into the software industry, Mr. MacLeod worked at Bank of America, Crocker Bank and Bank of the West. He has a BA from California State University.

Kim Stanick, Chief Marketing Officer

Kim Stanick is Chief Marketing Officer. She is an accomplished technology marketing executive with over 30 years of experience in the data management industry. Ms. Stanick has spent more than a decade in product and corporate marketing, first as Director of Technical Marketing Strategy at Teradata, next as the founding VP of Product Marketing at Datallegro (acquired by Microsoft), then as founding VP Marketing at ParAccel (now Actian), and most recently as a marketing consultant at vendor companies such as EMC/Greenplum, Alpine Data Labs, SAP, Cisco, and others. She received a B.S. in Quantitative Systems from CSULB, and an MBA in Decision Support Systems from USC.
